well the Toyo Proxes makes em much less of a factor but I can only speak to that tire

I should have maybe tried the one Joe has so I know we are talking apples and apples as to how it handles but I did follow right behind Misfit and Lilbit all day in rain and shine in Tennessee and Virginia and saw how this Toyo stuck before I tried mine

The car tire follows ruts in the road though so if you live where there are lots of rutted roads like near intersections and grades approaching traffic lights on state highways stay on your toes

It shines braking on sand and wet or flooded roads and makes potholes less annoying  You still need to lift ass off seat when going over one though to protect the boys

I thought that was a serious issue when I first got my car tire, but lowering the pressure makes ruts, etc. less of an issue - the tire'll flex around the ruts, rather than trying to tilt the bike over.

I finally settled on 26 PSI for my HydroEdge. The Yokohama I had before was best at 34.....

We have an s curve a few miles from our house that is covered in tar snakes on concrete, at 35 mph the back end of the Valk with avons moves around so much it scares the crap out of my wife, at 55 mph on the same road with the I/S and tripple tread at 33 psi you never feel the strips and do not feel any slip what so ever. I have felt the front move out a little but never the back. Been several bikes go down on that curve due to the strips & temps above 85. Absolutley no comparison. I'm not saying the CT is the best all around, but on tar snakes, loose gravel or rain, it just simply out performs the MC  You opinion may vary, Ride what you like.

okay, I went for a ride today on a road covered with long narow patches and tar snakes, 60 degrees outside, the general altimax smoothed that road out to the point I quit even reading the road, and just enjoyed the ride. I would have never  thought a rear tire alone could make that much of a difference. it was nice entering and exiting a turn without worrying about dodging tar snakes and patches . my front tire is just about used up, yet it didn't seem to be effected by the road.
