One of my fellow riders was talking to me about my DS installation. He inquired if I knew if he could do the same thing to his GL1200, which has a 15 inch rear wheel. I told him I didn't think so as I didn't think there was a car tire made that will fit a stock GL1200 rear wheel. He the asked if there was a 16 inch wheel that would fit a GL1200 so he could do the DS conversion. I allowed as how I had no idea. Does anyone know either way about whell interchangeability, or where I might find out?

Original VW Beetle tire size was a 165-15. If I remember correctly, this is what I ran on my GL1200 back in 1984. I am not a good rememberer and this was 25 years ago.....
