Went online and found a rear cobra for 197 at bikebandit  Since directline says they will beat by 5% I am calling them monday and getting the tire for about 200 including shipping. Dalai Lama is doing the install over in watertown ct. I am shipping the tire direct to him.

So for the powwow oss will be on all avons for the first time.

Wonder what it will feel like?

I suspect that it will feel pretty damn good, after all its a Valkyrie

Cant say I didnt give this a good shot, one year and travels to Tennessee and New ENgland from NY as well as the torture test in the Bronx potholes.

Well you won't be disappointed with a Cobra on the rear.

I'm have a new Alitmax HP that I'll have installed prior to my trek to the Blue and the Grey.

Hope to meet you eventually  Smiley

Its 880 miles to your location which is a bit to far for me in one day..lol. I was thinking of staying at the Navy Lodge in Brunswick ME (about 560 miles). Thanks for the offer.

Oss my experience with a CT has been positive. I'm running a Alitmax HP 205 60 R16 and it tracks better than my Cobra did over ruts and pot holes. I gathered my information at
http://forums.delphiforums.com/DarkSiding/start before deciding on which tire to go with.
I expected a big difference between the Cobra and CT but was surprised on how natural the CT felt. My tire pressure is the recommended 40 psi for the Alitmax from the Delphi forum. I feel more confident in corners than I did on the Cobra. Anyway if you ever do think about another CT try the Alitmax. Check out Dags videos. He is running an Alitmax too. I fully understand your decision to switch back to a MT. Just wanted relay my experience in case the Darkside of the force calls on you again Smiley

thanks nova

I do like the tracking on the potholes, wet roads and starts and stops

Its my inability to get my big ole Oss head wrapped around setting and maintaining my line in turns, especially downhill that finally got me to say the experiment must end.

pic is the tire the day it was mounted

NP Oss, I understand where your coming from. With a Cobra in the rear you will won't have any issues in a corner regardless of the slope of the road. On a side note are you going to the Blue and the Gray?
