went for a ride with my wife on the back, and her description of the way it feels is " solid" the dunlops always felt like they were going to slide out in the turns, and they would move around on tar snakes and patches, sand in the road would always raise my pucker factor. not with the general altimax. the only downside I can see with this tire is my fuel mileage is probably going to go down because I am riding harder. I honestly couldn't tell at first that this wasn't a motorcycle tire, but after riding it harder in the twisties, I am able to tell the difference, and the difference is good. my wife calls the ride, solid, and my son in law, after riding it, said it was lighter steering. those two statements didn't seem to match, until I thought about it while riding in the turns. the dunlop e3 would fall into a turn, and you had to pull it back up, while the car tire takes a slight pressure on the bars to lean, so slight in fact, that I didn't realize I was doing it, and neither did my son in law. to come back up, you just quit applying pressure to the bar, and the bike comes back up on its own. the faster I took a turn, the more I noticed this, which is why I probably didn't notice it at first since I was taking it pretty easy, testing the water , so to speak. this is why it feels more solid, and yet also feels lighter steering in the curves. I have yet to find any negative effects with this tire. If this is what the darkside is all about, I will not be going back to a motorcycle tire
