Modifications to your bike occur for many reasons, safety, looks, and performance to name a few. The Turn Signal Mod is primarily a appearance modification, with a possible enhancement to safety. We used the Aurora turn signals, other brands should also work in a similar manner. If you are uncomfortable doing this work yourself, get help, a new fairing is expensive.
Parts needed: New turn signals
Turn Signal Mounts
Washers
Tools Needed:
Metric Ratchet
Soldering iron and electrical solder
Wire cutters
Hex wrenches
Prepare a method of supporting the fairing Prepare a flat surface to hold up the fairing. We use 2 sawhorses, a piece of plywood, and a pillow or towel to cushion the fairing from scratching.
Remove the Fairing Remove the back of the fairing by removing the wings on both sides. The screws have a grommet set in the plastic, that can free spin sometimes, if this happens, gently pry out while turning the screw. The grommet will come out. Use pliers to hold the grommet while unscrewing the screw. Glue the grommet back in the fairing with epoxy.
Remove the chrome piece over the windshield, and remove the windshield.
Undo the two brass color screws under the windshield.
Undo top two screws on the face holding the Instrument cluster.
Reach behind the fairing and undo the 10mm bolt on each side holding the fairing to the support frame.
The fairing will now be free, gently swing forward to rest on the support you built.
Removing the existing Turn Signal Inside the fairing you'll see three wires leading to each turn signal stalk. unplug each at the connector. unscrew the nut holding the turn signal in place, and remove the signal.
This is what you now see
Preparing the new turn signal Since the turn signal may not have a good ground, we chose to add a ground. Run an additional wire into the signal, and secure to one of the screws holding the lamp fixture in place (2nd picture). Attach the turn signal mount to the signal. We used the Custom Chrome mount.

Mounting the new turn signal The fairing has a large opening, so a washer is needed. The washer shown must cover the entire opening. ACE Hardware has a washer similar to the one shown in chrome. This makes the turn signal look professionally mounted. If you prefer, a regular washer can be spray painted black.

The mount we chose, available from Custom Chrome
Wiring Run insulator over the turn signal wires. Drill a small hole in the fairing to run wires through. Connect wires to the existing connectors (I cut off the bullets with about 2 inches of wire on each, soldered these to the turn signal wires, and plugged them back in as before). Repeat on the other side.
Final Results Reinstall the fairing, adjust the position of the signals, and your done. Congratulations!
