I am working with someone attached to the GWRRA on getting discounted RESCUE PLUS plan prices for our members here. It is a very good program and out performs AAA and alot of other programs. Check out this link for info on the program http://www.towbusters.com/rescueplus.html#4Once I hear back from my contact I will have more info. The more people we have join up the cheaper the plan is. This covers all of your cars, bikes, rv's...etc just not commercial trucks, cars, etc. This program includes all family members as well. I will update you on further info once I hear back. Thanks

Yes, Looking it over just now it covers the US and Canada on the normal policy, and International is another part of it so yes, you are good for the RESCUE PLUS as it is. Kewl!
It has a number for Canada service included for road service so that will work for ya.....

Could you check again - I've seen US-issued policies which cover incidents in Canada and elsewhere but is only available to people living in the US.

Any idea how this would compare price-wise and service-wise to the plan that comes along with the AMA's membership?

One thing I just noticed on the AMA site is they only tow you up to 35 miles, where as the RESCUE PLUS covers you up to 100 miles and not to just a dealer. Having had AAA RV policy last couple of years the extra mileage they offer has been a HUGE BENEFIT alone. Trust me on that one....yes I have used it with blown bearings and being out in the middle of nowhere, it really does help with those extra miles added on.

Prices look good for the coverage, I'm interested. Especially since Honda Riders dumped us.

CAA (CDN Version of AAA) has a "Premier" membership which has a once-a-year tow of up to 300+ KM (somewhere near 200 miles), and they'll also provide more tows, but for shorter distances.
It may be worth looking into for CDN members.

OK, I sent an email to my contact to verify Canada and what other countries might be covered under the International plan, once I hear back I will let you know.

I have AAA RV which is their top coverage, however, they have very limited number of times they will tow you and then they shoot you back down to normal membership and can't use the top one again I believe for a year, that is what got me thinking of using someone else. Here in the US AAA is fading fast for service as towing places don't want to work with them anylonger because they don't pay them enough compared to other services and are slow to pay them for a second reason. The last couple of times I have had to use them it took well over 5 hours to get service and it was not way out in nowheres land either, it was just that their network is shrinking big time. All the drivers have told me that as well.

That's sounds like the same structure CAA has, but I haven't heard anything about their network size, etc. issues that you mention.
One thing I really like about CAA and use quite a bit is the motel/hotel discounts - which more than pay for the membership when I go on a road trip or travel on business.

That I agree with, the discounts on motels and alike with AAA are nice and sure come in handy, but now that I can get AARP that covers the discount here for me know as well. but your right on the AAA discounts, they do add up if nothing else.

I have the plan thru GWRRA already, well worth it. Used it once when I dropped my Wing. Very fast service and did not have to pay out of pocket. Would be interested in renewing the plan thru VOAI next year if you decide to pick it up.

this year we used the AAA premium a few times in the last 12 months once to tow 96 miles home for the 97 altima, a second time for the Altima when the timing chain snapped and we donated the car to a charity as it was FUBAR after that tow home once to tow my 01 300m from here to the Bronx when the rack and pinion split and once to tow it to the Bronx when the tranny let go
Quite a bargain, but so is the plan for 25 bucks you posted. Heck its just a tank of gas on the interstate Taz
