<<Great seats! I've put 700 miles in a day on mine and wasn't sore or tired later. Ultimate Seats out of Canada makes these seats, but I don't think Des (the owner) makes one for the Shadow. Send him an email and ask. He makes them for Valks, Gold Wings, V-Stars, H-D and some others. Good luck...Tom >>
This post confused me. Are you saying Mustang Seats are made in Canada by the same folks that make Ultimate Seats? After looking at the Mustang website, I believe Mustang and Ultimate are unrelated. Mustang is based in Terryville, CT while Ultimate is in Canada, as you noted.
What has led you to want to sell the Mustang? How long have you had the Mustang? Have you tried some of the other after-market seats? How do they compare and contrast? I am interested in the Mustang because owners have said the seat moves you up a bit and back a bit vs. the stock. I am looking for a bit more room, so those changes sound good to me.
Mustang and Ultimate are not connected. Ultimate is made in Canada. Mustang seats are made in the US. I had my Mustang seat for a couple of years and liked it until I sat on an Ultimate seat. Since Ultimate comes in three sizes, the one I got fit me better and was more comfortable than the Mustang. I don't need two seats so I'm selling the Mustang (which fits ANY Valkyrie style) seat. Tom

Opinions on seats are all over the board from Valk riders. Each and every one of the aftermarket seats (Ultimate, Russel, Mustang, etc.) has its fans and detractors. Unfortunately, the only way to really know if you like a seat is to ride a couple of hundred miles with it and to do that you usually have to buy the seat. The stock seat on the 2000 and newer Valks (like mine) is actually mentioned by some as being more comfortable than some of the aftermarket seats. All I know is the stock seat is not working for me beyond one hour. Are you still going to put up some pictures of your seat?

I might be interested in the seat... I've got a 98 Tourer that it should fit on... have you got any pics you can share?
I took pics of the Mustang seat. My wife (who is much more savvy with computers) tried to send them. RSVP. Tom

If Legender does not make a deal with you on the seat, then I would like a look at the pics too because I might buy the seat. My e-mail address is in my profile. Thanks.

Where did you get your chrome wheels? I'm interested in obtaining a set. Also, does anyone know if the wheels were different from year to year? In other words, could I buy a set of wheels used from any year and get them chromed and expect them to fit my '01 IS? Or did the wheels change in some way from one year to the next?

I have a 1997 standard and was interested in swapping my chrome rims with a newer set of clearcoat rims but this gentleman at the VOAI Family Reunion this year from Ohio told me that can not be done due to a change in rims Honda made from the first year to future models. Does anyone know what can be done to swap rims from 1997 with other year models without alot of cost involved? I just don't know this can be done or I have to stick with only 1997 model rims?

Did a little parts research this morning and came up with a great big nothing. Bike bandit parts breakdown shows a different part nmb for 97 and 01 rear wheels, but same for front. On the other hand, another oem parts breakdown shows a different part# for the front and the same for the rear. Both sites seem to show same part#'s for bearing asm's etc. So, nothing definative. It'd be best to have the two bikes setting side by side and just attempt the swap. That way you'd know for sure.

I got two front wheels. Mounted a new Avon on the spare, from a newer bike, and mounted it right up. No problem.

I've tried to post photos of the seat but I'm having trouble getting them through. I'd be glad to send them directly to you. Please advise. Tom
