I haven't posted for a while as I have still been riding and travelling the country. When I left Marlinton, WV I went over to Raleigh, NC and visited an old friend that I hadn't seen in 11 years.  I was only 350 miles from there so decided to drop in on him.  When I left there I dropped down to South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama, and Arkansas on the way back to KC, Mo.  I was home for three days and left for Souix Narrows, Ontario for a fishing trip with friends and just got back from there.

I have ridden over 23,000 miles since retiring and buying my 2000 Interstate in March and have been in 32 states and two different providences in Canada.  What a summer!!!!  I'm not through riding by any means.  I plan on going to Prairie Du Chein the middle of this month and still considering going to Arizona and the Grand Canyon after that.

The Valkyrie bug really has bitten me and won't let go.

Well Clint....the majority if not all of us envy you for having such a adventurous summer of riding.  Taking in so many states and some of the frozen tundra lands of the great white north in record time sure sounds nice.  Did you hit an snow up there up north did ya?  It might be fun riding up there with some snow cover on the trees while the roads are still open to bike travel, I bet that would be very pretty.  Get in on some action with the ICE ROAD TRUCKER gang and run the Haul Road next to them chasing Lisa  the newbie down.

Well keep on biking and we shall see you in Prairie du Chien.        http://home.att.net/~tlvalk        for some fun times!  Happy Motoring!

Clint,

It was great meeting you.  I hope you still have the Valkyrie bug when I get to retire in 10-15 years so I can ride with you on some of those amazing trips

23000 miles in a summer, man you are going to be catching DDT in a few years at that rate  I think he is closing in on 400000 (Four hundred Thousand) soon

Strider or Warlock have you heard what he is up to now?

Clint,  What seat are you using?  What a Summer of riding!  I'm really envious!  I still have at least 15 yrs before I can retire and ride like that.
Ride safe!

I'm using the stock Interstate seat with a Utopia Back Rest.  I have considered getting either sheepskin cover or beads for hot weather riding.  That is the only time I really have an issue is in hot weather.

It was great talking to you at Marlinton and hearing about your travels.  Glad you were able to get those tires taken care of for your trailer and hope they are still working well.

23,000 miles?  YOWZA!  My tail would have callouses.  As you can tell, we're jealous.  One day, I'll get the time to take a nice long trip.

Enjoy your ride!

What?! Those crops will be there after the weekend, MP. However, PdC won't be full of Valkyries after the weekend. I think it's any easy choice to make!

That is NOT what my BANKER thinks!  LOL
Got 1/2 inch of rain last night. Along with a little hail.  50 miles north of me the crops were totally wiped out with hail last night.  So, it is possible they might NOT be there later.  Will see what happens. If it dries up, will be OK.
Put new battery in, so it fires right up now.
I see the headlight is back out again.  Somewhere in the headlight module it has a poor connection.  Need to look again.
