Hello all. Just a newbie here that just purchased a 99 tourer two weeks ago. Ive already logged 2000 miles on the bike and love her. I am putting a new tire on and am 'going dark'. cant wait. I love trying new stuff with bikes. If I go with the 195 do I have to worry about the nut cage getting in the way? I dont mind doing the mod, but would like to keep it if I can.  One more question unrelated to tires. Will the seat from the interstate fit on my tourer? wife wants a more sculpted  scooped seat and I dont feel like dishing out 600 for the ultimate seat. This forum is great and Im sure I will spend my rainy days here alot.

Uncle Bob - welcome to the club. Please read the following resource:

http://lifeisaroad.com/stories/2004/10/27/theDarkSide.html

Valks like three sizes: 205/55/16 (no mods), 205/60/16, and 205/65/16 (both require nut cage mods). I believe based on what I have read before, 195 is suited for Gold Wings.

Can't help you with the seat question, I have an Interstate and it came with the Ultimate seat - my wife loves it! Too bad I am selling the bike  Shocked
