Ride an extra mile for me today.  I woke up to -28 degrees today Sad   It will be a while before the Valk and I are reunited for a ride.

Happy New Year and Ride safely!

Fritz, Nice looking arctic cat 500 in the background - looks to be about a 2001 model year?  Mine is a twin of that ATV darn near being a 2000 Arctic Cat 500cc 4wd Automatic in dark green color.  Runs like a champ with that 493cc Suzuki engine in it and build like a brick _hithouse compared to the cheaper made ATV's nowadays, although it will not handle and go as fast as the newer ones.

By the way, let me know, PLEASE, where you got that converted rear passenger seat and backrest for your Arctic Cat ATV and let me know how stable/safe it is.  Would love to get one like that for 2-up riding as compared to what I have now which is a thinner padded luggage carrier strapped on the rear rack.

If we ever get up to Manitowoc WI next year  (I'm from southern WI) to go see the SS Badger and the nice state parks up your way with the family, I'll be sure to look you up for some repair advice since it seems you have no problems tearing down what is left of your Valk. on the stand.

First of all it's not my garage (I wish) It's a buddy's of mine that lets me keep my bikes in for the winter.
As far as why I tear the bike down that far is to clean it up. (don't everyone Smiley ) The reason I removed the front end a year or two ago was to change the neck bearing, and to buff out the triple tree and forks. Cookie that ATV in the back is a 03 or 04 (another friend) and is a factory two up machine. I don't recall the model. Looking forward to meet up with you this summer if you get up this way. I'll also be in La cross for the rally in June.
