So when is the first ride going out?   A ride to PdC is in order.  got a free night at the newly modeled Holiday Shores Inn in Marquette.  New ownership and they have remodeled the place.  Talk to the new owner and wants us to re visit the place and give us a free stay for a nite or two.  They are working hard at fixing the place up so once a nice weekend comes up soon let us try it out.   Best part of Wisconsin to ride for sure....be the floods, and hope none this year as do have from time to time. !  It is a very good view of the river as well so if everything is nice it will be a great time for sure.....they still have the fire pit too!

Cool, I'd like the see the makeover on that motel.  For such a great location, glad to hear they spruced it up.  I'm in!!!  I think that from Marquette, we should go to Gunder, IA (25 miles away) and get a world famous 22 oz "Gunderburger" at the Irish Shanti...  http://www.irishshanti.com/  Road food!!!   Tongue

That burger makes the foot-long chili dog I got at Hansen's Holdup look like an appetizer!

YES, just called Marc and talk to  him about some of us getting an email to welcome us for a  night or two.and pay the extra nite at the New HOliday Shores Inn..If any of us  can do a weekend, it will be nice to see what they have done with the place, I have heard alot so that is great, as it had a great view but buggy for one.  Lets get a group and plan a weekend by car or bike just to check it out again before spring.  I reallly liked the location and told him that the new owner,, he does not know Big Daddy yet but I did tell him I have pics and stories to share on our big weekend and man that was fun big time!

Be sure and post when you might be getting together.  Now that I have re-retired I'd plan on coming up it the weather is nice enough.

TAZ and others, keep us all posted and I may be able to make a Saturday for a long all day ride since only 2 hours away for me.  Definitely a must stop to try the gunderburger!  Pretty familiar with the WI side of the river, but not the IA side - would be nice to see. Spring sure has arrived in a hurry, although this weekend looks to be in the upper 30's, lower 40's and rain/snow mix again.  Let's shoot for a weekend early April (maybe even last weekend in March?) when temps in the morning are above 40 with day temps in the 50's. -sounds good!

Looks like prices jump after May 15 (winter rates), so it'd make sense to go before that. Looking forward to it!

Sorry Guys, I guess the "Gunderburger" is only 16 oz... Not 22 oz.  Don't know why I had it in my head that the burger was that big!  I guess we'll just have to go for 2 of the little burgers!!!  Grin
