So, my Valk Interstate came with some really sissy type of custom mirrors.  They actually do not fit the threads on the handlebars, but instead, they mirrors have a smaller thread, and the bolt section sticks through the other threaded hole, with a nut below.  And, the mirrors are small and they suck, and the look like dog dung, too.  Get the picture?

Anyway, ordered replacement mirrors, EMGO's, from local Honda shop.  Well, the threads on these mirrors are too large, so my question to the esteemed group here, is where can I get a decent set of mirrors for a 2000 Valk. Interstate?

You could try kuryakyn. I just gave away a used set to a friend of mine, I'm sure you could find some new or used somewhere.

How about OEM?  Pinwall may have them.  They should fit!  LOL

The mirror saga is hopefully over.  Really weird, actually.  A while back, I ordered a set of mirrors to replace the POS mirrors on it, as mentioned above.

When the EMGO mirrors didn't work, I posted the first post.  Well, yesterday, I tried a mirror off of my MotoGuzzi, and well, they fit!  So did the studs from my GL1200, and the mirrors from my wife's Vulcan.  WTF?

It turned out, the mirrors sold to me from the Honda shop were for a Yamaha Cruiser, and for some reason, Yamaha decided to use a slightly larger thread for their mirrors.

So, I mounted one MotoGuzzi mirror, (after breaking the other one because I was fed up and put too much torque on the base) and today, took the bike for a ride.  The new Goose mirror was a vast improvement over the POS mirrors, so I went and ordered replacement mirrors for my MotoGuzzi from my pals at Moto International in Seattle, (and the piece I broke off the other one), and by Friday, I should have my old Moto mirrors on the Valk, and new mirrors on the Goose.

So, the reason I went down this road to begin with was I thought that the Valk somehow had a different size thread, but no, I was just sold the wrong mirror.  All's well that ends well...
