I have been looking for a new trailer for a month or so.  I recently found an all aluminum trailer made by Aluma KLM it has 12 inch aluminum star mags, larger tires, cooler rack, jack stand, and top rack all for a very attractive price.  Question is has anyone ever seen this unit up close?  The trailer is about 14 cubic feet inside given the body is 27"wide by 21.5" deep by 45" long. I know that computes to more then 14 cubic feet of space but the front tapers down some for drag reasons I suppose.  The trailer can be made in all diamond plate or with color matched side and rear panels.  The dark forest green metallic is a dead on match for my 99 Valk I/S's green and silver paint job.  What other trailers do the folks here recommend?  I have owned a Travlite pop up and a Kompact Kamp Conquest in the past but it has been 15 years since my 1985 GW Aspencade found a new home .  The second question is what type and manufacture of hitch does everyone like.  I can't find the company that I bought from before so I'm looking for the best I can purchase.  Sorry for the long wind on this subject but I need some help.             Thanks Mark:D

My vote goes to BUSHTEC as far as a trailer and for the hitch also.
They are located north of Knoxville, Tn. about hour and half.

I PM'd you two days ago and you didn't reply. I have a used hitch that is in excellent condition and want to sell it. Let me know if you're interested or if anyone else is interested PM me. I'm near Pittsburgh if this is a help. It's too cold to ride this morning. Mike:eek:

The Aluma trailer is a nice trailer.  Somewhat ugly in design, but a very nice trailer.  Has torsion suspension vs springs so makes for a nice ride and towing feature.

Trailer Hitch:  Bushtec, NO way, they weld in their stem so you are stuck with their trailer, like it on not.

I went with a Hitch Doc hitch and it has worked flawlessly for me.  It is a HEAVY hitch and I'll guarantee you will never bend it even if someone rearends you.

I've pulled Bushtec, Escapade, Hannigan and a few home made trailers.  Bushtec, too critical on tongue weight, if you no get it correct the trailer will sway at speed.  Excapade, hate that lousy hump in the middle of the box, too hard to pack around it.  If you have a heavy object you want in the middle only way you can do it is build a false floor to make it all level.  I did that, and in the process lost some room, not enough to holler about but.  Liked the cooler capabilities n both of these trailers.  Hannigan:  Good trailer but their wiring sucks.  I had to practically rewire it to get all the lights to function as expected.  Hannigan is a great believer in these little blue connectors that pierce the wire to get it juice or ground.   I had to remove all of them to get a good connection and good enough ground to make the lights work.  They also believe in NO ground on the trailer.   I added a ground to mine and all the lights seemed to become brighter.  Want more information e-mail me for details.  This is getting rather lengthy.

Try trailmastersinc.com  They carry cycle mate trailers. They have a good variety to choose from. And good quality.
