I'm looking forward to meeting you guys at Maggie Valley if you can make it.

Definitely! And then you can check out the car tires in person.

El,

When you turn/lean with a CT, the tire deforms to match the road.  The outside edge will lift off the ground, but most of the inside half will still be on the ground, and it does NOT get up on the sidewall at all.

There are vids taken from under the bike that show this.  You still have MORE tread on the ground when leaning than you do with a MC tire.

I see you've been posting, slow day at the track in the rain, eh? Been good riding a lot this week, snow is all gone, might be in the sixties today.   Hoser   Grin

Went to Disney today.

Races good.  This da==n computer here at the resort sucks.  I refuse to pay them $10 per day to hook up my computer in the room, so use the one in the lobby.

Slow, etc.

Hi,

Well finally was able to get at that rear car tire rubbing today.
It was as you said, the tire was rubbing the fender bolt square nut.
I will be getting a 5/16 carrage bolt and running it inside out. Hopefully I can find a stainless steel one.
As alway great advice on this forum.

Thanks
Honda*mann

One of these days I will have to come to one of these ridin's to meet some of you in person.
Just got to talk the wife into it.

Being in WI, you should be able to make a number of rides!  Wish I was that close to so many Valk owners. Hope to see you down the road.  Be sure to make the PDC ride in Praire DuChen in Sept.

Jack and Fritz are just up the road from you, so hopefully you can hook up with them when we gather in SW WI to enjoy the driftless zone. This spring some Valk owners will be gathering for the Slimey Crud Run. If you're interested, it's a good time with excellent food and even better roads.

It will be held May 1 this year. Check out these websites for more info. It's an unusual and very enjoyable rally...

For one, you can check out the thousands of cycles that gather. There are some pretty impressive classics, new cycles, and everything in between. The ride starts in Pine Bluff (just west of Madison) and ends in Leland, WI. You make up whatever route you want to follow and take as long or short of a path to Leland as you want. Some of the best riding in the state is available there...

As for who is coming, I'm not sure. Two years ago there were three of us that went and this year we could end up with a few times that. It all depends on the weather, people's plans, etc. If you enjoy twisty, hilly roads and motorcycles, you'll enjoy this ride.
