I end up going with the Goodyear Assurance Triple Tread P205/60/16 for my first car tire. Honda dealer mounted and balanced it for me (for use with a sidecar wink, wink). For first timers, the nut cage modification was super easy with a cutting wheel, a wet towel and a spray bottle of water. I used the original square nuts for now. Replaced the three O-Rings, Thrust washer, Dust Shield and after everything was apart I found the Oil Seal on the drive shaft was was bad, so back to the Honda Dealer. I think this Oil Seal should be replaced also everytime the final drive is removed especially if your ordering parts in advance. Moly paste in a tube from Honda (half filled) and Belray Marine grease for the drive shaft. The tip about using a TV cable to hold up the U-Joint worked on the 2nd try. Next time I want to try removing the shocks and letting the tire drop down to get the axle out. For me the pain was trying the get the 6 into 6 pipes back on even when they were all apart.

Started out at 30 lbs for air pressure, riding 2 up feels very smooth with no nasty habits and no rubbing. Walking speed seemed a little different around a corner the first time. After the first several miles I thought wow feels great, after 50 miles I thought what's a motorcycle tire?. So if you have had rear tire problems like cupping or just wearing out to soon, try a car tire and install it yourself.

Thanks for all the info and tips posted here in the "Darkside" forum that made my install easy.

My front tire needs replacing, what to replace with? CT?

I am now a believer.

Welcome to the DS!

I have NEVER removed the pipes for a tire.  Works fine with them on.

And, I actually have a sidecar too!  But, never had a problem at my Honda dealer.  I just take the wheel off the bike, take it and the new CT to them, and have them mount it.
