After a month or two of the baby's arrival you will no longer be able to remember what you did with your time before the baby!
Enjoy-it is a wonderful thing to have a child.
When they hit their teens you will undestand why some animals eat their young-but it is still worth it.
Congrats.

By the way, two is even better.

Just be sure to try and catch up on your sleep before the youngster arrives.  The first year can be a real issue getting some sleep.  Our soon to be 12 year old daughter the first year had collick (spelling?) and we both never got any sleep all night long for over 2-3 months straight.  It was insane and we finally ended up having ear tubes put in her ears and that solved the non-sleep issue - highly recommended!  And yes, 2 is even better but just wait until the 1st youngster is almost out of diapers since the used diapers pile up in a hurry, not cheap either.  There goes your disposable income, but well worth it even in their teens although they sure demand more as I am soon finding out.

Thanks for the congrats and well-wishes. We're both very excited to be parents! I'm just dreading the day that, if I have a girl, she decides it's time to start dating. Maybe the Valk will keep the guys scared for a while...

also let the lad "overhear" a conversation with "Mr Gambino" about "taking care of a problem" while he is waiting to introduce himself

That one had me laughing for months

Congrats, now no need to greet the young lad at your door with the shotgun or make up 'gangster/mob' talk.
On the bonus side, the newborn will be coming in the winter months of WI and not tie up any riding time this year at least unless you have a snowmobile.
From experience, each 1-3 year old is different, but overall, I say boys are harder to raise/more tempermental/stubborn in that age range and girls are easier at the infant/toddler age until the teen years begin.

Congrats,

I don't know how I missed this the first time around.

Your life will change drastically, mostly for the good.

But I have to admit hat the best thing about kids is that they produce grand kids!

Yeah, the grandkids can visit for the day and you can spoil them rotten and then ship them off to mom and pop.    Grin
