Need to drain the carbs to store my Valky for the winter.  How do you access the drain screws for each carb, and the drain openings (to put on a hose to drain the gas into a container)?  I don't know how the carbs are numbered, but on the right side of the engine I can't even see the drain screws or the openings for the 2 carbs nearest the front.  On the left side of the engine, I can see all 3 screws but can't figure out how to access the one nearest the front, or the drain opening for the middle carb (it looks blocked by a fuel line, spark plug wire, etc.)  Do you have to take a lot of stuff off, like the air boxes, fuel lines and spark plug wires, etc.?  I hope there's a simple way to do this, because my mechanical skills are basic!  Thanks for your advice!

Just add Sta-Bil then run it long enough (proper ventilation and all that stuff) to get the mix into the carbs. Don't worry about it any more after that. Another advantage of this is that you can fire it right up on those RARE days that are rideable in the winter.

NewValk: I was told the same thing but one of the other gents came up with a good suggestion that is put sta-bil in this tank-full ride bike for as long as you can or until the snow flys top off tank if you use a lot of gas doing so you will need to add sta-bil to get the right mix. i have done what valker has said to do, as well on all my bikes but i used to start the bike ride it for 10-15 min. then shut off pet-cock and run bike until it died and then shove it in the cornner until spring. but i hear you dont have to do that on these bikes because we are always ride ready it must be valkyrie feaver or somthing because i dont want to put mine away.

P.S    I just put sta-bil in my last tank full and will adjust acordingly.

Or just don't stop riding it, like me. Valker has a great idea for those in the severe weather areas where you just can't ride though the winter. Enjoy guys.
