A very poor attempt at a scam in relation to my for sale post on this board

Almost EVERY ad I place will get a response like that.

Poor english, always asking for my last best price.  Got two of them on my ad for the IS cb, which I still have, by the way.

Same here, you get them all the time with online ads. Not worth responding to, just delete them.

When I sold the standard to get my Interstate, I ran into the same thing more than once. The cashier's check is also a red flag from my perspective. It always helps if you can sell to a board member.

Also, watch out for people saying they are out of the country, but they will set up the sale through ebay's buyer's protection program. It doesn't exist and I'm sure you'd never see your money/item again.

I ping'd a kijiji ad about a TW200, and they claimed to've moved to the yukon, but would ship the bike to me in 2 days, cover shipping costs and taxes - for ~$1K less than the locally advertised price.

Riiiight....
