Sept 4th my son and I took off for key west from detroit. thought the tread was good enough but could feel the cords move a bit when we changed lanes. installed the hydro 65, nut and cage job, and adj rear shocks to 5, in marietta, ga. with help from my brother-in-law on labor day. i felt awful but appreciated his kindness. no balancing caused no problems. the tire made a night and day difference. it felt like a cadillac. the girl didn't have the snappiness it used to, but the 3 grand @ 70 mph sure increased my gas milege. in charleston, sc my son in law and i switched out the front tire with the dunlop 404 rear with a reverse rotation, oil change, and rear brakes with relative ease. we had a great trip with memories that will stick with us /son and extended family/ for a long time. all the above would not be possible without the active participation of all of you and your posting. i never 2nd guessed any of my choices because of the confidence gained by your experience, THANK-YOU ALL! on the return trip we ran the tail of the dragon with the new tires smiling all the way. 2 cafe's sped passed us but i can't believe they beat our smiles. bill and cal

GREAT!  Glad all went so well.  Nice when a plan comes together.

Surprising you were able to do that much work on the road.  Glad it worked out.  You're right, it's all about the smiles.  Thanks for telling us.

I couldn't agree more! The cycle tire is just a distant memory now-- darkside all the way!
