1997 Standard and 2001 red/blk I/S with sidecar

I did that to my 97.  You do not need anything.  Did your set come with the longer bolts?  If so, you are ready to go!

Just hold them up to your bike.  You will see where the mounts match up to the existing bolts.  Remove those, hold the support brackets in place, and put the bolts  in.  I a may have misspoke.  Not sure if need longer bolts with the bag mounts.  You do when you add the saddlebag guards.

Then, put the bags on the supports, and put the two top side bolts, and the three bottom bolts in, and you are done!  Also, connect the supports in the back.

Really easy.
