Looking at setting up a ride to Maggie Valley, starting from SW ND to Chicago to Maggie Valley.

Since there are a number of Chicago area riders, would be a good place to meet up.

Planning on getting to Maggie Valley on Sunday, July 17th.

If interested, please post.

We will be leaving SW ND to go there.  If anyone is interested in going with us from here in ND, let me know.  We have plenty of rooms in our home to stay with us, and then leave.

I'll likely end up going that route as well and would enjoy riding with the group on the way down. Good times two years ago in Marlinton for sure!

Sounds good for you.  Am hoping and praying TAZ gets work.  Is the move to LaCrosse still on?

Have not gotten that far yet, hoser!

I am hoping some of the riders that live closer to that area, know the most scenic route to get to Maggie Valley, while still getting us there on time.  Say, 3 PM Sunday?

Any of you riders that know that area have some ideas?

Yeah, none of those narrow gravel roads that lead to nowhere...

Talked to TAZ the other day and it sounds like he could be moving to LaCrosse area in Feb. or March. He is supposed to come to our house in a couple of weeks for snowmobiling, etc.!

What about a motel to meet up at south of Chicago?  How about the Super 8 in Hebron, IN? Leave there Sat 9:00 AM?

You want IS's, or major two lane roads?  How about getting past Louisville, KY on Sat, then into Maggie Valley Sunday?    How about Super 8, at Danville, KY,   SE of Louisville, for Sat night?

It is 335 miles from Hebron, IN.

It is then 245 miles from Danville, IN to Maggie Valley. Leave Danville Sunday AM, to get to Maggie Valley early afternoon on Sunday?

If OK, I will post the motel info to make reservations.  If not, please post alternative route.
