Do yourself a big favor.  Forget about OEM seats and throwing money away trying to modify them.  You will never get them to the comfort level of an aftermarket one.  They are pricy but you’ll forget the pain and agony and will be able to ride 300-400-500 mile days easy.  Take it from someone that has tried them all (OEM modified, Russell, etc…).  Diamond Seats are one of the best for Valks.  Give Mark a call and he’ll take good care of you.  Good luck.

Me too, but I occasionally use my post 2000 stock seat if I'm expecting rain.  My Diamond has fabric on the seats, it's great when it's hot, not so much in the rain.  Hoser  cool

Mine is also fabric, but it has seen all kinds of weather over the past 60,000 miles......still doing great.

I've got Hartco seats. The foam collapsed after about 40,000 miles and we had gel pads inserted. Works well so far.

It don't hurt the seat, just keeps my butt wet all day after it quits raining.    shocked  Grin hoser
