how do you lube the throttle cable and what is the best lube for throttle cable? never done this before any help will be greatly appreciated.

Most places sell a 'kit' called "Cable Lube". It is a pressurized bottle of cable lube and a small metal and rubber device that attaches to the cable end and pressure lubes the whole cable. Here is one, many are available.
