By "brackets" do you mean supports for throwover saddlebags?  If so, I've got a set; they're chrome, and are either oem or Saddlemen, I don't know, as they were on the bike when I bought it.  They're just gathering dust now and would be free to a good home.  PM me if you're interested.

I have used The AIR HAWK with great success (Kawi zrx 4-600 mile days to San Diego from Chicago). It's an air pillion system with a valve you can adjust to your liking. They got their start by making these for people who were wheelchair bound to prevent the problems associated with prolonged sitting. When not being used they deflate and store nicely. Not cheap, I paid about a buck and a half 4 years ago but worth it to me. I occasionally fill up to capacity to give my legs a stretch on the beast I'm riding now , but the ideal setting is to get your butt just off the seat so your still connected to the bike but the pillions keep air flowing and not such a large contact point on the backside. If you want to try one let me know I'll let ya test ride the one I have for awhile. With snow up to my armpits It's not getting used. By the way I even use it for long car rides.

Some like it fast, some like it long. Dragon drivers can provide you with both

I tried the "sit on top of seat" type and found them to not be comfortable.  I think you either go with your existing seat, or have it refurnbished with gel (assuming the leather is in good shape).

***
looking for some feed back on any of them gel seat pads that can be bought for seats [the ones that just sit ontop of seat]   likes/dislike's  Huh?

also saddlebag brackets  good ones bad ones .... the ones that should or shouldnt be bought Huh? and or if anyone selling a pair or givng away ...thanks

Has anyone tried putting the gel padding inside the pants?  I'm not being wise here.  There are kayak pants, hockey ref pants, sailing/sport pants, motocross pants, and military pants all with butt pads right where a biker needs them.   Smiley  With all the innovation shown in this forum, maybe somebody has put pockets inside the pants and added something like the gel pads.

Thanks / Pluggy

after the ride to montrose from ny I tried the airhawk and also a sheepskin

ok but I didnt want to be riding so high off the seat and got a russelldaylong and never looked back

it came the night before I rode out to Eureka Springs for our ride in

Did not need any break in time and had no issues in 2 days of about 750 miles each  In fact on arriving at the springs someone wanted to take a ride so we did    Grin Best money I have spent on this bike, the air wings and air horn would be the next best

I have loaned my airhawk out and sometimes bonnie will use it on LONG trips
its best used as someone said  just a smidgeon off the seat   The sheepskin is now sitting on the 1150 rtp
