I just traded my 2003 VTX1800C for a 2002 Valkyrie black and red with 5800 miles.  I'm going to miss my fuel injection, but I'm going to look sooooo much better on this one.  Wife should like this one better also.  Any comments on what I should inspect?  Mechanically its near perfect, but I've read about carbs and gas lines.

Congrats on the trade! I'm sure you'll love the Valk.

As for things to check out, make sure you get that rear wheel pulled off and inspect the driven flange, drive shaft, etc. There's lots of info on here about it, so do some searching/reading.

Congratulations!  Hope to ride with you in the future.  Search is your friend.  Nitro had some excellent ideas.
