Seems like this last 4 inches of rain that followed the freeze and thaw really made the potholes grow
in a hurry.   Kinda like using miracle grow in the garden I suppose.  Was worst going up and down the goat trail and also on Route 9 east of the Hudson.

Anyway took the 1150 rtp out for a spin up the goat trail around 1pm today as the temps was in the upper 40's. Just one police car came up on me with his light bar lit and just a few other bikes on the road. After crossing the Bear Mountain bridge I went into the Park to ride the road up past Perkins Drive but the road was closed at the circle so I doubled back north and at the circle for the bridge took the Palisades Parkway spur, they had signs up warning of rough potholes and they were accurate.  Got to practice my evasive manuevers and did not get swallowed by any of the holes.  Some of em was as wide as the bike and a foot or more deep.  Almost stopped to take pics but it was too dangerous as there  was no shoulder

At the next circle I took the Seven Lakes Drive that anyone who has been up here has ridden with me. That road was smooth for the most part as no trucks use that road except for park pick em up trucks The lakes was all covered with ice and no traffic on the roads but people on bicycles and a few motorcycles and everyone waved back.  Its a friendly area up here.

Arden Road and the south roads all were closed so at Lake Segago Circle I turned around and headed back toward the Hudson, then north on 9W to High Tor Mountain.  Lots of mud and gravel and water running across the roads but nothing a slowpoke like me need be concerned with

Here is a pic I took near the eastern bottom of Seven lakes Drive as I always love to stop and hang out by this stream, and get my head together.  Just love waterfalls and streams find them to be relaxing for the soul.

Hope everyone that could get out did and got back safe.

Beemer's looking good Oss. Glad you got some ride time in. I took the standard out today for a run and worked on a GL1000 changing out the neutral switch.
